We are delighted to announce that the session will be presided by Mr Hamed Mobasser!
Dear Friends,
In April 2011, about 300 young people from all over Europe will once again come together, this time in the historic city of Athens. It is thus my pleasure to welcome you to this session. In Athens the youth of Europe will stand together and take up the challenge of discussing important current issues and working towards forming a better Union.
Trying to find constructive solutions for social disparity, economic and financial crisis, the Arab uprisings, climate change and the today’s low esteemed feeling of European citizenship, will be just one of the many goals for this 66th International Session of the European Youth Parliament.
During our stay in Athens, living European citizenship will be an everyday experience. The participants will feel more closely connected to today’s Europe than ever before. You will meet young people from every corner of Europe and spend ten very intense and equally fun days with them. This is a fantastic opportunity for you all to speak your mind about important issues and make new friends from all over Europe and you get to do all of this at the birthplace of democracy.
The team of officials is eager to get to know you all and get started. We hope you are too!
Many regards,
Hamed Mobasser
Session President
